Which links work?

Standard watch URLs, youtu.be links, Shorts, live videos, and embed links are supported. Playlist and timestamp parameters are ignored after the video ID is extracted.

Why are some sizes missing?

YouTube does not provide every size for every video. Thumbframe lists the sizes returned or confirmed for the video rather than pretending every size exists.

Do you store my link?

The MVP does not create accounts or keep download history. Requests are used to resolve the current thumbnail and are not displayed publicly.

Can I use the thumbnail commercially?

That depends on your rights to the image and video. Download only content you own or are authorised to use, and check the applicable licence before reusing it.

What does video download require?

Video downloads are available for permitted public videos. You must confirm “I have permission to download this content”; playlists, live streams, private videos, and videos over 60 minutes are not supported.
